Museum of Texas Tech University Mammalogy Collection (TTU-M)The Museum of Texas Tech University's Natural Science Research Laboratory Mammal Collection has mammal specimens from Texas, the southwestern U.S, and many other countries, such as Ecuador, Honduras, former Yugoslavia, Paraguay, Mexico, Ukraine, and Peru. Nearly 80 percent of the specimens are in the form of dried skin and/or skull and skeletal material preparations, while the rest are fluid-preserved. Many specimens, particularly those collected after the mid-1970s, have corresponding frozen tissue samples as well.
