UCSB Vertebrate Zoology Observation Collection (UCSB-VObs)

The UCSB Vertebrate Zoology Collection is regionally focused and particularly important as a record of south central California vertebrate diversity, with a focus on Santa Barbara County. The preserved specimen collection includes over 11,000 herpetological, 8,000 ornithological, and 2,000 mammal specimens. Preparations include alcohol, skin, and skeletal preparations. This collection, UCSB Vertebrate Zoology Observation Collection, is a curated collection of voucher images and observations that do not include preserved specimens.
