United States, Illinois, Clark, Anderson Townhsip. Lincoln Trail State Park. Red Oak Shelter Picnic Area. East side.
Habitat:
15 - 50 feet tall, 20 - 30 inches d.b.h. Associates: Acer saccharum, Cornus florida, Liriodendron, Quercus alba, Q. rubra, and Q. velutina. Acorn size varies greatly. Caps tuberculate. Bark grery and flaking.
