Weedy, sandy area around construction site.
Low herbs to 0.5 m. tall. Foliage only weakly foetid. All corollas closed when collected (mid-afternoon), some partially open in bag by evening but odorless; flowers erect; corolla white with faint purple tinge on outside of lobes and purple throat within; corolla tube sharply 5-angled in lower half; stamens and styles white. Fruit pendant, spines becoming stiff and sharp.
