Below, bark gray, more or less fissured, with ridges broken into irregular plates. In many places it was encrusted with lichens. Branches fairly dense, gracefully ascending-arching. Many lower branches descending, some tips within reach. Main divisions of trunk began ca. 8-10 ft. above ground. Hgt. ca. 50 ft. DBH ca. 18 in.
